IHS Markit Report Reveals Juniper Networks Ranks First with Service Providers Globally in Most Important Areas


Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR), the industry leader in automated, scalable and secure networks, today announced that it ranked first in four of the top five key selection criteria when service providers choose network providers, according to the new published IHS Markit router. & Switch Supplier Supplier of leadership services Survey. The twelfth annual report assessed the perception of service providers among switch edge / core and carrier ethernet (CES) manufacturers, and revealed that Juniper outperforms others in the industry in technological innovation, product reliability, service and support and security ahead of Cisco, Huawei and Nokia. Juniper also ranked second in price-performance, just behind Huawei.

The IHS Routers and Switches Provider Leadership Service Provider Survey provides information on the service provider's views on edge / core and CES router manufacturers. The study covers the selection criteria of suppliers, suppliers installed and under evaluation, qualifications of supplier operators and includes a leadership scorecard based on key criteria.

According to the report, which identified the main selection criteria and how providers were classified in the eyes of service providers, Juniper ranked first in four of the five main areas:

  •     Technological innovation: Juniper obtained the highest operator score by 51 percent, when operators indicated that they were 3 leading by technological innovation, followed by Cisco and Nokia.
  •     Product reliability: Juniper scored 55 percent, followed by Cisco and Nokia.
  •     Service and support: Juniper scored 48 percent, followed by Cisco and Nokia.
  •     Security: Juniper obtained 51.4 percent, ahead of Cisco and Nokia.
  •     Price / performance ratio: Juniper gained 38 percent, getting the number 2 spot, just behind Huawei and ahead of Nokia and Cisco.
